Master Yuan in Thailand and Competition 

      The past few weeks have been very eventful for the academy.  Master Yuan returned from his first trip to Thailand where he helped officiate the opening of a Wudang San Feng Pai Taiji Society in Bangkok. He also took the time to teach, give lectures, and also travel a bit.  This was a wonderful event.  Master Yuan is very pleased that so many people are not only taking an interest in learning Wudang martial arts, but that they are also interested in helping to spread it to the rest of the world.  Take a look at Master Yuan's pictures from Thailand below.

       October 11th marked the beginning of the Fifth International Wudang Taiji Competition.  There were a total of 28 different countries being represented in the competition.  About 21 students from the academy entered the competition; 10 foreigners and 11 Chinese.  For the week prior to the competition all of the students focused solely on the forms they would be competing with.  As a result of this dedication to their practice, the students walked away with a total of 37 medals, more than 20 of which being gold medals.  This competition was an incredible opportunity for all of the students and Master Yuan and the rest of us here at the academy are very proud of how the students did.

       The Autumn-morning chill has begun to set in and everyone has taken to wearing long sleeves and sweatshirts.  The academy is still quite busy and everyone is training hard.  We are currently in the process of creating a brand new website for the academy, with hopes of having it done soon.  Keep checking in on the website as well as the website of the Traditional Class (wudangtaoistarts.com) for more updates.
